Give a warm thought to the late great Frank Thomas, who would have been 94 today...

Interesting how it's divided up. Until the entrance of the Child Psychology book, most of the time Donaldis animated by Don Towseley and the kids by Ed Love. Then after the book's brought in, it starts being animated by sequence, with Don Towsley getting another large chunk to do.

Don Towsley, Paul Allen and Jack Hannah seem to have been (among) Jack King's exclusive animators, his unit if you will, while people like Ed Love worked for every director, and so would get less to animate on each individual short.

Also interesting to note that the kids, despite being introduced by name in the short and wearing different colours, are not differentiated in the draft. (Jack Hannah would later stick them all in the same colour, probably to avoid continuity troubles)
