Disney Pegbars in 1938... and a Field Guide.

An interesting side note for those interested in peg-bars and camera stands:
The German company CRASS made excellent cameras and stands for many, many years, alongside Oxberry, Neilson-Hordell etc.
Anna & Bella was shot on a CRASS camera - Valhalla, the Danish feature that brought me to Denmark, was, too. When CRASS decided early on to add peg-bars to their tables, they looked at Disney for sizes, the pegs 3.5" apart. Only later did they optionally supply ACME pegs spaced 4" apart.
Though we always worked with ACME pegs, at least one older (often anti-Disney oriented) Danish animation producer used CRASS' Disney pegs well into the 90s. The table-top had been metricized a bit, though, in that the pegbar distance was precisely 31 cm (12.205") - a difference of .1".
Say -it just dawned on me: maybe it wasn't different, but our camera people just gave us a measurement that was .1" wrong?
